As a Warehouse Manager, I look after the incoming and outgoing stock for the entire business.
My responsibility is to ensure installers have what they need to service our customers and that all information is documented accurately.
I also liaise with contractors across Victoria, the Central Coast, and the rest of the East Coast, as well as the team at our headquarters in NSW, to ensure items are received and dispatched on time.
The best part is the complete autonomy.
The systems we put in place enable me to understand the ins and outs of the business, which makes responding to queries easy.
I’m also fortunate to have an understanding manager.
He’s firm yet positive, and the friendly working atmosphere is really unique here.
It’s opened up a whole new career path that I never considered, but my biggest motivations are my kids.
To work in a supportive environment that enables me to build a life for myself and my kids is one of my biggest drivers.
Given my Indigenous background, I really believe in this industry.
It’s vital for us to move away from coal and the mining of the country, and to not take more than what we need.
My short-term goal is to participate in all the races on my bucket list, ranging from 5km to 100km.
I hope to achieve great times and, hopefully, stay injury-free.
