Short answer
The right solar system size depends on how much electricity you use and when, your roof space, your goals and your electricity network’s limits. SEA works this out at your consultation from your electricity bills and your plans, such as adding a battery or electric vehicle, and recommends a size to suit.
What we look at:
- Your electricity use: how much you use, and at what times of day.
- Your plans: a battery, an electric vehicle, or a move from gas to electric appliances can all change what you need.
- Your roof: usable space, direction and shade.
- Network limits: your network may limit inverter size or exports, often depending on whether you have single-phase or three-phase power.
